Cornet & Flugelhorn

The cornet and flugelhorn is similar to the trumpet, and therefore you can just give them the trumpet music. The difference between them is not just the length and shape, but the bore, which affects the sound. The cornet and flugelhorn have conical bores, whereas the trumpet has a cylindrical bore. This means that the cornet and flugelhorn have the capacity to be more mellow in sound, and another option is to also give them a clarinet part.
